    Manual Gearbox Extension Housing Bearing

    ⚙️ This spare part supports the manual transmission main/output shaft right at the extension housing area. It is needed to keep the shaft perfectly centered, so gears stay aligned and power flows smoothly to the driveline with minimum drag and noise.

    How it works

    The bearing uses hardened races and precision balls/rollers to carry radial load while letting the shaft spin freely. It also helps maintain correct end-play, protecting seals and reducing vibration. With a healthy bearing, the gearbox feels tight, shifts cleanly, and stays quieter at cruising speed.

    If the bearing is worn or broken

    ? You may notice humming/whining that changes with speed, shifter vibration, or oil leaks from the rear area as the shaft starts to wobble. Continued driving can cause gear misalignment, rapid synchro wear, overheated oil, and in worst cases shaft damage or transmission lock-up.

    Why replace on time

    Replacing it early restores smooth rotation, protects the extension housing bore, and prevents expensive secondary damage to gears, seals, and couplings.
