Throttle Body Coolant Feed Hose for Mitsubishi

This high‑temp coolant line feeds warm antifreeze to the throttle body. It keeps airflow stable and stops icing during cold starts, giving smooth idle, cleaner emissions, and longer throttle body life. Built to OE‑style routing and inner diameter for a precise fit on Mitsubishi engines.

Why this hose is needed ❄️

In cold or wet weather, the throttle body metal chills fast. Warm coolant flowing through its passages prevents frost on the throttle plate and reduces condensation. That means predictable throttle response and steady RPM, especially right after startup.

How it works

Coolant exits the cylinder head, travels through this hose into the throttle body jacket, then returns to the heater loop. The small bore controls flow without lowering system pressure. Quality EPDM resists heat cycles, glycol, and oil vapors for long service.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️️

Cracks, swelling, or hardening can lead to seepage or sudden bursts. Symptoms include sweet coolant smell, damp areas near the throttle body, low coolant, poor cabin heat, and rising temperature gauge. Air entering the system may cause rough idle, hunting RPM, and cold‑start stalling. Continued leaks risk overheating and head‑gasket damage.

Service notes

Replace old clamps, match length and bend, and bleed the cooling system after install. Use the specified Mitsubishi coolant mix and inspect nearby hoses at the same time.
