Engine Exhaust Valve (OEM Grade) ?
This engine valve is a critical sealing and gas-control part inside the cylinder head. It is needed to let burned gases leave the combustion chamber at the correct time, keeping power, fuel economy, and emissions in balance.
How It Works โ๏ธ
The camshaft pushes the valve open (through lifters/rockers), and the valve spring snaps it closed. When closed, the valve face sits tight on the valve seat to seal compression. The stem runs in the guide to stay straight, while the valve head handles extreme heat from exhaust flow.
Why Replacing Matters โ
A healthy exhaust valve maintains compression and stable idle. If it is bent, burned, warped, or the face is pitted, sealing is lost. That causes misfire, rough running, low power, hard starting, and higher fuel use. In severe cases it can damage the seat, overheat the head, and harm the catalytic converter.
Common Failure Signs ?
- Engine misfire under load
- Low compression on one cylinder
- Popping in exhaust, poor acceleration
- Burnt-valve smell, overheating symptoms
