Turbocharger Coolant Feed Line for Mitsubishi Turbo Engines
Why you need it
This coolant feed line supplies the turbocharger’s center housing with engine coolant to keep bearing temperatures stable. Proper cooling prevents oil coking, protects seals, maintains steady boost, and extends turbo life. It’s the right swap when the original pipe is rusted, kinked, or sweating at the fittings—common on hard‑working trucks and SUVs.
How it works
A rigid, corrosion‑resistant pipe with OEM‑grade bends links the water outlet to the turbo CHRA. Under pump pressure, coolant flows in, absorbs heat, then returns to the circuit. After shutdown, natural convection continues cooling to stop heat‑soak. Correct routing, heat shields, and brackets keep the line safe near the manifold .
What happens if it’s broken
Cracks or loose banjo joints cause sweet smell, pink/green drips, steam, and low coolant. The turbo overheats, oil burns, bearings score, power drops, and white smoke may appear. Keep driving and you risk head gasket damage or a seized turbo ❗
Tech notes
Always use new crush washers, torque to spec, bleed the cooling system, and check nearby hoses for chafe. Keep the factory path for leak‑proof sealing and fast spooling ✅
