Engine Coolant Hose for Mitsubishi SUVs and Pickups
This molded coolant hose is a vital link in your Mitsubishi cooling system. It carries hot antifreeze between the engine, radiator, and heater lines to keep temperature stable during city driving, towing, and off-road use. A correct, heatβresistant hose prevents leaks, cavitation, and hot spots, helping the engine run efficiently and the cabin heater perform.
How it works
Made from multiβlayer EPDM rubber with fabric reinforcement, the hose holds pressure and resists heat, oil mist, and ozone. Its formed bends match OEM routing to avoid kinks. With proper clamps, it seals the water outlet/thermostat to the radiator or heater pipe. As the water pump circulates and the thermostat opens, coolant flows through this line to control engine temperature.
When it fails β οΈ
- Coolant smell, drips, or green/blue stains under the car
- Temp gauge rising, overheating, or heater not blowing hot
- Soft, swollen, or cracked sections; steam from bay
- Low coolant, possible misfire/white smoke (head gasket risk)
Tech tips for replacement
Work on a cool engine. Replace old clamps, clean pipe stubs, and route the hose away from sharp edges and hot manifolds. Fill with the correct 50/50 coolant mix, bleed air, pressureβtest to about 1.1 bar, and recheck after the first heat cycle.
