Engine Oil Pan Level Sensor for Mitsubishi
This OEM-grade replacement monitors oil level (and temperature) directly in the sump. It feeds the ECU and dash cluster, giving a fast low-oil warning and keeping lubrication stable. A good sensor helps clean starts, protects bearings and cams, and extends engine life.
Why it’s needed
Accurate level data prevents oil starvation under hard braking, steep hills, or long service intervals. It’s a simple part that saves you from costly repairs.
How it works
Inside sits a float with a reed/thermistor circuit. As oil level changes, resistance/voltage shifts and the ECU interprets it. A molded body and O-ring seal resist heat, vibration, and oil, keeping the pan sealed and readings stable.
When it’s bad ⚠️
- Oil lamp flicker or false alarms
- No warning despite low oil

Install tips
Disconnect battery, drain oil, replace sensor and O-ring, torque lightly (about 8–12 Nm), clean connector, clear codes, refill, and check for leaks ✅
