Rear Wheel Cylinder Seal & Dust Boot Kit | OEM ref: MC112209
Refresh the rear drum braking system with a complete set of rubber cup seals and protective boots. This kit restores hydraulic tightness and keeps dirt and moisture out, giving you a firm pedal and even braking.
Why you need it ️
Over time, heat, age, and contaminated fluid harden the rubber. Replacing the seals and boots stops leaks, protects the cylinder bore, and helps the brake shoes apply smoothly.
How it works
Inside the rear wheel cylinder, pistons push the brake shoes. The cup seals hold high brake fluid pressure so the pistons move with force. The outer boots shield the piston ends from dust and water. Quality EPDM rubber resists DOT 3/4 fluid and temperature changes.
What happens if it fails ⚠️
Leaks leave wet marks on the backing plate, the pedal feels soft or sinks, the car may pull to one side, and stopping distance grows. Low fluid can trigger a warning light. Dirt entry causes piston sticking, uneven wear, and ruined brake shoes.
