    Rear Wheel Cylinder Seal & Dust Boot Kit for Drum Brakes

    Restore safe, consistent stopping power with a fresh cup and boot set for the rear wheel cylinder. Over time, rubber hardens, cracks, and loses elasticity from heat and brake fluid exposure. This kit renews the hydraulic seal and shields the piston from dirt and moisture, bringing back firm pedal feel and stable braking.

    Why you need it ️

    Seal cups hold pressure so the pistons can push the shoes evenly against the drum. The outer dust boots keep grit, water, and rust away from the piston ends. Replacing these small parts prevents fluid leaks, uneven braking, and premature cylinder wear—often saving the cylinder body itself.

    How it works

    EPDM rubber cups expand slightly under pressure, sealing the bore and converting pedal force into smooth piston movement. The boots act as flexible barriers, protecting lubrication and preventing corrosion at the piston lips, ensuring long service life.

    If worn or broken ⚠️

    Expect a soft or sinking pedal, longer stopping distance, fluid weeping on the backing plate, pull to one side, and contaminated shoes. Ignoring it can lead to total pressure loss and brake failure.

    Tech notes

    Clean the bore, lightly deglaze if needed, lubricate with fresh DOT 3/4 fluid, never use petroleum grease, seat cups squarely, fit boots fully, then bleed the system. Ideal for drum brake maintenance and leak repairs ✅
