Upper Radiator Coolant Hose for Mitsubishi 4x4 Cooling System

This upper coolant hose is a key link between the engine outlet and the top of the radiator. It is needed to carry hot coolant out of the engine so the radiator can remove heat and keep operating temperature stable ️. Without a strong, leak-free hose, the whole cooling system loses pressure and cooling efficiency.

How It Works

When the thermostat opens, coolant flows through this hose to the radiator. The hose is built to handle heat, vibration, and pressure pulses from the water pump. Its molded shape prevents kinks, keeping flow steady during hard climbs, towing, and stop-and-go driving .

What Happens If It’s Broken

Cracks, soft spots, swelling, or loose ends can cause coolant leaks or sudden blowouts. That may lead to overheating, steam from the bay, weak cabin heater, and possible head gasket damage if driven too long ❗. Any coolant smell or crusty residue around the ends is a warning sign.

Technician Tip

Replace aged clamps, bleed air after refilling, and inspect the lower hose and radiator cap at the same time for best results βœ….
