    4WD Transfer Selector Lamp Switch for Mitsubishi 4x4 ⚙️

    This switch confirms the transfer case position and tells the dash lamp and 4x4 controller when 2H, 4H, or 4L is engaged. It threads into the transfer case and seals against oil, giving a clean on/off signal so the indicator light shows the true drive mode. Perfect fit for Mitsubishi body-on-frame trucks and SUVs using part-time or Super Select systems.

    Why you need it ✅

    Clear 4WD status prevents driveline wind-up, protects the transfer case, and helps the control unit finish engagement. It also avoids confusion on slippery roads and keeps the warning light logic correct for safe driving.

    How it works

    Inside is a sprung plunger and contacts. When the shift rail reaches the 4WD position, the plunger closes the circuit, lighting the 4WD lamp and signaling the controller. A crush washer or taper thread seals the port; a 2-pin connector links the harness.

    If it fails

    • 4WD lamp stuck off, on, or flashing
    • Delayed engage/disengage of 4x4
    • False warnings; harsh shifting feel
    • Gear oil seep at the switch

    Tech notes ️

    Install on a clean, dry bore. Use correct thread sealant, route the lead away from heat, and torque to spec. Verify with a multimeter: continuity only in 4WD range.
