Steering Wheel Wiring Harness β Reliable Signal Path for Controls and SRS οΈ
This OEM-grade steering wheel wiring loom links the airbag, horn, audio/cruise buttons, and paddles to the carβs main harness. Built for exact fit on select Infiniti/Nissan platforms, it restores clean power and data flow with factory-style plugs and secure locking tabs.
Why you need it
Over years of turning, heat, and vibration, the original loom can crack, chafe, or loosen. Replacing it prevents intermittent controls, airbag warnings, and poor horn contact, keeping steering wheel functions and safety systems working as designed.
How it works
Mounted between the clock spring and the wheel modules, color-coded leads carry SRS squib signals, CAN/LIN data, ground, and horn feed. The slip-ring (clock spring) maintains continuity while you steer; this harness ensures correct routing and connector polarity end-to-end.
If it fails β οΈ
Airbag light on, horn inoperative, dead audio/cruise buttons, random chimes, or blown fuses. In severe cases the SRS may be disabled, reducing crash protection. Electrical shorts can also damage the clock spring.
Install notes
Direct plug-and-play; no splicing. Disconnect battery for 10β15 minutes before SRS work. Keep wheel centered, avoid probing squib pins with a meter, and torque airbag fasteners to spec.
