Precision Intake Air Pressure/Temperature Sensor for Daimler Vehicles ?

This sensor is a key input device for the engine control unit. It is needed to measure intake air pressure and temperature so the ECU can calculate the correct fuel amount and turbo/airflow strategy. Accurate readings keep combustion clean, power smooth, and fuel use under control.

How It Works βš™οΈ

Inside the unit, a pressure element and a temperature element convert air conditions into electrical signals. The ECU uses these signals to adjust injection timing, air-fuel ratio, and boost control (when equipped). The result is stable idle, responsive throttle, and better protection against knocking and over-fueling.

What Happens If It Fails ❗

A weak or faulty sensor can cause rough idle, hesitation, poor fuel economy, black smoke, limp mode, or hard starting. In some cases, the ECU will log fault codes and run on backup values, which increases emissions and can stress the catalyst, turbo, and intake system over time.

Best Practice ?

Always inspect the connector pins, wiring, and intake sealing. A small air leak or corrosion can mimic a bad sensor.
