This evaporator core assembly is a key HVAC part in hybrid/PHEV vehicles. It is needed to cool and dry the cabin air by absorbing heat inside the climate box. When the A/C is switched on, refrigerant flows through the core, changes state, and pulls heat and moisture from incoming air. The blower then pushes that chilled air through the vents for stable comfort.

The core’s tight aluminum channels and fins maximize heat exchange. As warm air passes over it, condensation forms and drains out through the case drain tube. This also helps prevent window fogging and keeps cabin humidity under control.
