Why this part matters
This rotary connector keeps power and data flowing from the steering column to the wheel while you turn. It feeds the driver airbag (SRS), horn, cruise, and audio/phone buttons. How it works
Inside is a flat ribbon conductor wound like a spring. As you steer, the ribbon coils and uncoils in a guided track, keeping continuous contact without stretching the wires.
