Why you need it
This seal sits at the back of the engine around the crankshaft and keeps engine oil inside while the flywheel or torque converter spins. It protects oil pressure, stops leaks into the bellhousing, and keeps clutch or converter surfaces clean. Without a healthy seal, your engine and driveline quickly suffer. π οΈ
How it works
A spring-loaded lip hugs the crank journal, creating a tight dynamic barrier. Micro ribs return oil inward as the shaft rotates, while the outer metal shell locks into the block or rear cover for a static seal. What happens if itβs broken
