Rear Spring U‑Bolt RH/LH for Toyota Bus Suspension

This OE‑grade U‑shaped clamp locks the rear leaf spring pack to the axle housing on Toyota Coaster platforms. It maintains axle alignment, ride height, and braking stability under heavy passenger loads and rough roads. Engineered for left or right side use, it delivers correct thread engagement, clamping length, and preload for durable service.

Why you need it

  • Secures the spring pack to the axle seat to stop shift and yaw.
  • Preserves caster and driveline angles, cutting vibration and noise.
  • Restores safe handling after corrosion, stretch, or impact damage.

How it works ⚙️

The U‑bolt wraps around the axle and passes through the lower spring plate. When torqued, it creates uniform clamping force that keeps the leaf stack, center bolt, and saddle plate locked as one assembly, stabilizing the rear suspension during acceleration, braking, and cornering.

If worn or broken

  • Clunking, rear steer, and uneven tire wear.
  • Axle can slide on its seat; potential brake hose stress.
  • Sagging ride height and possible inspection failure.

Install notes ✅

  • Always replace in pairs and use new prevailing‑torque nuts.
  • Clean seats/plates, torque in stages, recheck after 100–200 km.
  • Do not reuse stretched, pitted, or cross‑threaded hardware.

Build

High‑tensile, corrosion‑protected steel with OE bend radius and thread pitch for proper preload and long life.
