Smart Key Transmitter Unit for Toyota Land Cruiser

Why you need it
It pairs with the vehicle’s immobilizer to prevent theft, enables hands-free locking/unlocking, and lets you start the engine with a button. Proper operation keeps daily driving smooth and safe.
How it works ️
Door handle antennas wake the unit via low frequency (about 125 kHz). The fob replies by UHF radio (market-dependent band) using rolling codes and a unique immobilizer ID. The car validates the cryptography, then permits ignition. A CR-type battery powers the electronics; an internal backup transponder allows emergency start when held near the start button.
If it’s faulty ❗
Symptoms include “Key Not Detected,” no start, short range, random lock/unlock, or fast battery drain. If it fails entirely, the immobilizer blocks the engine. In most cases, replacement and programming with dealer software or a certified locksmith are required.
Install & setup tips ⚙️
Use a fresh quality battery, avoid water and heat, and program all keys in one session. If the battery is weak, press the fob to the start button to crank.
