Why this part is needed
This start/stop button lets you power ACC, ON, and fire the engine with the smart key. It completes the safety chain (fob auth + brake pedal). Replace it when the button is unresponsive, wobbly, the LED fades, or starts are intermittent. A fresh unit restores factory feel, safety, and quick starts. πHow it works
The switch is a momentary contact with an LED ring. Pressing it sends a signal to the smart key ECU over LIN/CAN. If the key is valid and the brake is pressed, the ECU engages the starter and enables the engine ECU. Short presses step ACCβON; a firm press with brake starts the engine.
