Rear Left ABS Wheel Speed Sensor (OE 89546-48030) πŸš—

Why you need it πŸ›‘οΈ

This rear-left wheel speed sensor feeds ABS, traction control, and stability systems with precise wheel RPM data. It keeps braking straight on wet roads, helps prevent rear lock-up, and supports AWD torque control. It also keeps cruise and hill-start assists working. If your dash shows ABS/TRC/VSC lights or stopping feels uneven, this sensor is a prime suspect.

How it works βš™οΈ

A magnetic encoder ring on the hub passes the sensor tip; the sensor converts those alternating magnetic segments into clean pulses. The ECU reads the pulse rate as exact wheel speed and balances brake pressure and torque. The molded cable, sealed connector, and bracketed mount maintain the correct air gap and resist water, heat, and road salt for long life.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Failure or a damaged harness triggers warning lamps, lengthens stopping distances, and can allow rear wheel lock in panic braking. Traction and stability may be limited, cruise can disable, and the speedo may flicker at low speeds. A scan will show a weak or flat signal. Replacement is plug-and-play: remove one bolt, unplug, route the lead, and click the connector. πŸ”§
