Rear Right Wheel Speed Sensor ?️
This rear RH speed sensor is a key input for the ABS and traction systems. It is needed to measure how fast the wheel is rotating, so the vehicle can brake safely and stay stable on wet roads, gravel, or during emergency stops.
How It Works ⚙️
The sensor reads a rotating tone ring near the hub and converts wheel movement into an electrical signal. The ABS/ECU compares signals from all wheels. If one wheel starts to lock or spin too fast, the system quickly adjusts brake pressure and engine control to keep grip.
When the Sensor Fails ?
A damaged sensor, corroded connector, or broken wiring can cause ABS and traction warning lights, reduced stability control, harsh ABS activation, or no ABS assistance at all. In some cases the transmission/4WD logic may act odd because wheel speed data becomes unreliable.
Why Replacing Matters ✅
Restoring accurate wheel speed feedback helps bring back correct ABS operation, smoother braking, and safer handling—especially in heavy SUVs where stopping control is critical.
