Front Left ABS Wheel Speed Sensor β€” Stable Braking, Confident Drive

This replacement front-left wheel speed sensor keeps your ABS, traction control, and stability systems working at their best. It delivers precise speed data from the hub to the ECU, helping the car maintain grip on wet, icy, or rough roads. Built to OEM-style specs with a sealed connector and durable harness, it restores factory performance and reliability.

Why this part is needed ️

Modern braking depends on accurate wheel speed data. With a healthy sensor, ABS can modulate brake pressure, traction control can reduce slip, and stability control can correct skids. In hybrids, it also helps blend regenerative and friction braking smoothly.

How it works

A Hall-effect element reads a magnetic encoder (or tone ring) on the hub/axle. As the ring’s poles/teeth pass, the sensor outputs clean digital pulses. The ECU compares all four wheels in milliseconds to prevent lock-up or spin and to stabilize cornering. Correct air gap and shielding ensure a strong, low-noise signal.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Warning lamps (ABS/VSC/TRC) turn on, braking distance can increase, wheels may lock during hard stops, and traction control may be disabled. You might feel pull under braking, see a jittery low-speed speedometer, or store codes like C0200/C0205. Common causes: corrosion at the mount, damaged wiring, cracked encoder ring.

Install tips

Clean the bore, remove rust, set the proper gap, route the harness away from moving parts, torque the fastener correctly, lock the connector until it clicks, clear codes, and road-test.
