Air‑Fuel Ratio Sensor for Precise Mixture Control

This OEM‑spec front wideband sensor keeps the engine mix at the sweet spot (lambda ≈ 1) for smooth power, low fuel use, and clean emissions. It talks to the ECU in real time so your Toyota runs quiet, strong, and efficient. Great for daily driving and long highway trips

Why this part is needed

The ECU depends on this probe to fine‑tune injector pulse. Correct mixture gives stable idle, crisp throttle, better MPG, and protects the catalytic converter. It also helps during cold starts and heavy loads, cutting harmful gases.

How it works

This is a wideband A/F sensor with a pump cell and heater. The heater quickly brings the tip to operating temperature. The pump current reflects oxygen level in exhaust; the ECU uses that signal to adjust fueling hundreds of times per second. Sealed connector and stainless tip resist heat and corrosion.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Signs include high fuel use, rough idle, sulfur smell, weak acceleration, hard starts, black smoke, and check‑engine codes for mixture or heater. Running rich can overheat and damage the catalyst; running lean can cause misfire and higher NOx. Replace early to avoid costly repairs.

Tech tips ✅

Install on a cool exhaust, do not touch the tip, use correct anti‑seize on threads, torque to spec, and clear fuel trims after install.
