Air–Fuel Ratio Sensor for Toyota Exhaust Control 🔧

This advanced A/F sensor keeps the engine mixture precise so the ECU can deliver smooth power, low emissions, and great fuel economy. It fine-tunes fuel delivery during idle, cruising, and acceleration, helping the catalytic converter work efficiently and last longer. Perfect fit, OE-style connector, and fast light‑off for clean starts 🌿.

Why you need it

Correct air–fuel balance means stable idle, strong throttle response, easier cold starts, and reduced fuel use. It also helps your vehicle pass inspections and protects the catalyst from overheating or soot loading.

How it works

This is a wideband oxygen sensor (front, pre‑cat). Inside is a pump cell that balances oxygen ions; the ECU reads the tiny pump current to know the exact mixture (lean/rich) and adjusts injectors in real time. An internal heater brings the sensor to temperature quickly ⚙️.

What happens if it’s faulty

Expect high fuel consumption, rough idle, flat spots, hard starts, and a lit MIL. Exhaust may smell rich, and the catalyst can be damaged. The ECU may enter open loop, hurting performance and emissions 🚨.

Install tips

Work on a cold exhaust. Use an O2 socket, avoid touching the tip, apply high‑temp anti‑seize to threads (if not pre‑coated), check wiring, fix exhaust leaks, clear codes, and run an idle relearn.
