High-precision Oxygen Sensor for Toyota Fuel Control

This O2 sensor keeps your engine’s air–fuel mix in the sweet spot. It helps the ECU trim fuel in real time, cutting emissions , saving fuel ⛽, and keeping power smooth. If your Toyota runs rich or lean, this small probe is the first watchdog the ECU trusts. Built to OEM-grade specs, it restores proper closed-loop operation and protects the catalytic converter.

How it works

Mounted in the exhaust stream, the zirconia sensing element compares oxygen in exhaust to outside air and creates a voltage signal (about 0.1–0.9 V). The heater brings the tip to working temperature fast for stable readings at cold start. The ECU reads the signal several times per second and adjusts injectors to maintain the ideal lambda. Result: cleaner tailpipe, crisp throttle, steady idle.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

  • Hard starts, rough idle, sluggish response
  • Higher fuel consumption and strong exhaust smell
  • Check Engine Light, codes like P0130–P0161
  • Premature catalytic converter damage and emissions test fail

Service notes

Install on a cool exhaust. Use a sensor-safe anti-seize on threads (avoid the tip). Tighten to spec, secure the connector away from heat, clear fault codes, and perform a short drive to let trims relearn.
