Rear‑Left Ride Height Control Sensor for Toyota SUVs

Why this part is needed

This rear left ride height sensor keeps the suspension level under load, towing, and rough roads. It feeds the suspension ECU the exact body height so the system can balance both sides, stabilize handling, protect tires, and keep headlight aim correct. If you want OEM‑grade comfort and control from your Toyota, this sensor is essential. 🔧🚙

How it works

A small linkage follows the rear arm movement. Inside the housing, a precision element (potentiometer or Hall sensor) turns that motion into a 0.5–4.5 V signal. The ECU reads the signal and commands the air valves/compressor or hydraulic actuator to raise or lower the rear left, keeping the vehicle within target height. Weather‑sealed plugs and a pivot bushing allow smooth, accurate tracking.

What happens if it’s broken

Signs include: rear too low/high, left‑right lean, harsh or bouncy ride, compressor running often, suspension or “HEIGHT CONTROL” warning, and poor headlamp aim. Corroded linkage, cracked wiring, or internal wear are common causes. Driving with a failed sensor can overwork the compressor, damage air springs/shocks, and shorten tire life. Replace promptly for safe, even stance. ✅

Install notes

Bolt‑on at the rear arm/bracket. Set linkage angle, clear codes, and run height calibration with a scan tool. Use dielectric grease on terminals and torque fasteners to spec. 🧰
