Rear LH Suspension Height Sensor for SelfโLeveling Systems โ๏ธ
Keep your luxury ride level, safe, and smooth with this rear left ride height sensor. It sends precise suspension position data to the control unit, so the body stays at the correct height, handling stays crisp, and headlight aim remains legal and stable at night. Built to OE geometry with sealed electronics and a corrosion-resistant linkage, itโs a direct-fit replacement for aging or damaged units. ๐
Why this part is needed ๐
Self-leveling or air suspension depends on accurate height feedback to balance the vehicle under passengers, luggage, or towing. A healthy sensor prevents squat, tilt, and uneven tire wear, and supports proper ABS/VSC calibrations.
How it works
A short rod links the trailing arm to an internal potentiometer/Hall element. As the wheel moves, the sensor converts angle to a clean voltage signal (about 0.5โ4.5 V). The ECU compares target vs actual height and trims compressor, valves, or actuators in milliseconds for a calm, flat ride.
What happens if itโs broken
Warning lamps illuminate, height control may disable, and the car can sit too high/low or lean. Expect harsh ride, clunks from a loose link, poor headlight aim, and stored DTCs. Inspect for seized joints or corroded pins. Replacement is bolt-on: set linkage length, clear codes, run height calibration, and road test. โ
