Rear Left Ride Height Sensor (Suspension Level Control) ๐Ÿš™

This rear-left height sensor is a key input for the vehicleโ€™s height/leveling system. It helps the suspension keep a stable stance when you add passengers, tow a trailer, or carry heavy cargo. The result is better comfort, safer handling, and correct headlight aim.

Why this part is needed โœ…

The leveling ECU needs an accurate body-to-axle position signal. This sensor constantly โ€œtellsโ€ the system how high the rear corner sits, so the suspension can correct it before the truck starts to sag or bounce.

How it works โš™๏ธ

A small linkage moves with the suspension arm. Inside the sensor, that movement is converted into an electrical voltage signal. The control unit reads the signal and commands the height control/air or adaptive suspension components to raise or lower the rear as required.

What happens if itโ€™s broken โ—

  • Rear end sits too low or too high
  • Uneven ride height left-to-right
  • Harsh ride, bouncing, or poor stability
  • Warning light or stored fault codes
  • Incorrect headlight leveling and faster tire wear
