This smart HVAC control unit keeps your air conditioner stable, cold, and efficient. It’s needed to manage blower speed, compressor engagement, and air-mix doors so the cabin reaches the set temperature fast and stays there. By balancing cooling power and airflow, it prevents evaporator freeze-up, improves demisting, and reduces fuel use during hot days or humid mornings.
How it works 🧠
The module reads inputs from cabin and evaporator temperature sensors, plus pressure and sun-load data. It then sends commands to the compressor clutch, blower transistor, and actuators using precise PWM signals. It modulates compressor duty, controls fan levels, and fine-tunes blend doors to hold the target temperature with smooth, quiet operation.
What happens if it’s broken ⚠️
- No A/C or only warm air; A/C lamp may blink
- Intermittent cooling or rapid compressor cycling
- Blower stuck on high/low, poor defogging
- Evaporator icing, musty smell after shutdown
- Battery drain from a stuck relay; HVAC fault codes
