Rear Seat Back Lock Knob – OE-Style Release Handle

This compact yet tough interior control operates the rear backrest latch so you can fold the seat for cargo or lock it upright for passengers. Designed to match factory geometry and texture, it delivers a secure grip and a clean, original look.

Why you need it ✅

A fresh rear seat lock knob restores smooth folding, keeps the cargo area usable, and prevents wrestling with a stuck backrest. It also protects the latch cable/rod from being yanked, cuts cabin rattles, and maintains safety by ensuring the seat locks firmly.

How it works

When you pull or rotate the knob, motion travels through a short rod or cable to the backrest latch. The latch hook releases the striker so the seat can fold; a return spring brings the mechanism back to rest. In the upright position, the hook engages the striker with a solid click. Durable ABS and a reinforced hub resist heat, UV, and cold-crack.

When broken ⚠️

Symptoms include a loose/missing handle, backrest that won’t fold, latch that won’t catch, or cargo-area rattles. Forcing a damaged knob can snap the cable, leaving the seat stuck and reducing occupant safety under hard braking.

Install tips

Remove the old piece, align splines or tab, press until fully seated, secure the retainer, then test fold and lock. If the latch doesn’t click cleanly, check striker alignment and adjust as needed.
