OE-Grade A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor for Toyota ❄️

Keep your cabin cool and your compressor safe with this precise air conditioning pressure transducer. It continuously measures high-side refrigerant pressure and reports it to the HVAC ECU, so the system can modulate the compressor clutch and condenser fans for stable cooling and longer component life.

Why your car needs it ️

Correct pressure data prevents freeze-up, protects against over-pressure, improves fuel economy, and ensures fast, steady chill in hot traffic.

How it works βš™οΈ

A rugged diaphragm converts pressure into a clean 0.5–4.5 V signal. The ECU uses this to engage/disengage the compressor, command fan speed, and open safety strategies. It threads onto the high-pressure line or receiver-drier; most setups have a Schrader valve so you can swap the unit without evacuating refrigerant. Always replace the O-ring and lightly oil it with PAG.

If it fails

No or weak A/C, hot-cold cycling, fans running oddly, short-cycling compressor, stored codes (e.g., P0530), and possible seal blowouts from unseen high pressure. Left unchecked, the compressor can overheat and seize.

Tech tips

Install by hand, then torque about 10–12 NΒ·m. Clean the seat, clear codes, and verify pressure and voltage with a scan tool; normal key-on voltage rests near 0.8–1.0 V with engine off.
