This precision pulley keeps the air-conditioning drive belt running true and quiet. It holds belt alignment, reduces friction, and lets the compressor spin at the right speed. Without a healthy idler, the belt can slip, squeal, or jump, and your cabin cools poorly.
Why this part is needed
The A/C belt needs a smooth, fixed guide to maintain correct wrap on the compressor clutch. The idler pulley does that job, stabilizing belt path and helping set proper tension during adjustment.
How it works
A hardened steel/HD polymer wheel with a sealed high-speed bearing rotates on a stout hub. The bearing is packed with high-temp grease and protected by dust seals. As the engine runs, the pulley spins freely, keeping the belt straight and preventing heat buildup and glazing.
