Why this part is needed
Without a healthy compressor, refrigerant wonโt circulate. That means weak or no cold air, misty windows, and uncomfortable drives. This unit brings back OE performance and reliability.
How it works
A belt spins the pulley; an electromagnetic clutch engages the pump. Inside, a swash-plate mechanism compresses refrigerant and pushes it to the condenser. An internal control valve regulates output, while PAG oil lubricates moving parts.
What happens if itโs broken โ ๏ธ
Warm air at idle, rattling or grinding, short cycling, oily leaks, and increased fuel use. If it seizes, the belt can snap, stranding accessories. Metal debris may contaminate lines, forcing a system flush and drier/expansion part replacement.
Tech tips
Replace O-rings and receiver-drier, add correct PAG oil, vacuum-test for leaks, and recharge to spec. Inspect belt and condenser for best results.
