Right Side Mirror Opening Cover
This exterior trim cap seals the unused or exposed opening around the right-hand door mirror mounting area. It is needed after mirror removal, mirror swap, door repair, or when the factory plug is missing. A clean cover keeps the door skin protected and restores the OEM look ✅
How it works
The cover snaps and seats into the mirror hole using molded clips and a shaped edge that follows the door contour. Once installed, it blocks direct water spray and airflow from entering the cavity, reducing wind noise and helping prevent moisture from reaching internal metal and wiring.
What happens if it’s broken
A cracked or loose cover can rattle, whistle at speed, and allow water and road salt to enter the door shell. Over time this may lead to paint bubbling, corrosion around the mirror area, and electrical issues for window/lock circuits. Replacing it early avoids bigger bodywork costs ?
Quick install note
Clean the seating surface, align the tabs, then press evenly until fully clipped. If the door panel was repainted, confirm no overspray blocks the clip slots.
