Right Mirror Mount Hole Cover (RH) ?️
This small exterior trim piece closes the opening around the right-side door mirror mounting area. It is needed to keep the mirror base zone neat, sealed, and protected from rain splash, dust, and wind noise. Even though it looks simple, it plays a big role in keeping the door skin and mirror mount area healthy over time.
How it works
The cover clips and seats into the mirror hole area, aligning with the mirror base and door panel edges. It acts like a finishing cap: it blocks direct airflow into the cavity, helps guide water away from the mounting points, and prevents small debris from collecting near fasteners and wiring passages.
What happens if it’s broken
A cracked or missing cover can cause annoying whistling at speed, visible gaps, and easier water/dirt entry into the mirror mounting pocket. Over time, trapped grime and moisture may speed up corrosion around screws and can stress mirror wiring grommets. You may also notice vibration noises from the mirror area.
