Right Rear Quarter Side Exterior Trim Panel 🚗✨
This exterior garnish is fitted on the RH (right-hand) quarter side area to finish the body edge and protect the panel joints. It is needed to keep the vehicle’s side looking factory-straight, while helping shield seam lines from dust, road salt, and splash.
How it works
The trim mounts to the body using molded locating points and secure fasteners/retainers. Once seated, it sits flush against the quarter panel and adjacent trim, creating a clean transition line and reducing small air turbulence around the body corner. It also helps prevent minor rubbing marks where panels meet.
What happens if it’s broken or missing
- Visible gaps, uneven body lines, and a “repaired” look
- More dirt and moisture collecting near seams, speeding up corrosion risk
- Rattles or vibration at speed if clips are damaged
- Paint scuffs from loose edges touching the body
Technician tip
