Rear Parking Distance Sensor ??

This rear bumper sensor helps the driver judge how close the car is to obstacles when reversing. It is needed for safe parking, tight garage entry, and avoiding costly bumper damage. A good sensor also reduces stress in rain, night driving, and busy city parking.

How It Works ⚙️

The unit sends out ultrasonic pulses and reads the echo that bounces back from an object. The control module converts that signal into warning beeps or screen distance bars. It reacts fast, so even low posts, walls, or another car’s bumper can be detected before contact.

What Happens If It Fails ❌

When the sensor is cracked, water-soaked, or internally shorted, the system may beep constantly, show an error, or stop detecting on one corner. You may get false alarms, dead zones, or no warning at all—raising the risk of reversing into objects. A faulty sensor can also make the whole parking assist system switch off.
