Wiper & Washer Control Switch (Steering Column)
This steering-column switch lets you control the front wipers and washer pump in one place. It is needed for clear vision in rain, dust, and road spray, keeping you safe and legal on the road.
How It Works
When you move the stalk, internal contacts send signals to the wiper circuit for intermittent, low, and high speeds. Pulling or pressing the control activates the washer pump, spraying fluid to the windshield while the wipers sweep and clear the glass.
Why Replacing Matters
A worn switch can cause wipers to run only on one speed, stop mid-swipe, work randomly, or not respond at all. The washer may fail to spray, making dirt and salt stick to the windshield. In worse cases, sticking contacts can overload the circuit, blowing a fuse and disabling wipers completely during bad weather. ⚠️
