Electric Parking Brake Control Switch for Mitsubishi SUVs ️
This OEM-grade control switch commands the electronic parking brake (EPB) system. You need it to safely hold the vehicle when parked, assist hill starts, and meet inspection standards. A healthy switch gives firm tactile feedback, clean backlighting, and instant EPB response.
How it works
Inside is a durable momentary micro-switch and circuit board. When you press it, a low-voltage signal is sent to the EPB module via CAN. The module then drives the rear caliper actuators to clamp or release. Status LEDs confirm lock/unlock, and the cluster shows messages. It’s plug-and-play with factory connectors for a tight, rattle-free fit.
What happens if it breaks ⚠️
Common symptoms: no EPB engagement, flashing brake icon, “Service Parking Brake” warning, or sticky operation after spills. In severe cases the brake won’t apply or release, risking roll-away, failed inspection, and stored DTCs. Replace promptly to restore safe parking and proper auto-hold behavior.
