This multifunction switch is the driver’s command center for turn signals, headlamps, high/low beam flash, and front/rear wipers. It keeps your lighting and wiper systems legal, safe, and easy to use in traffic and bad weather 🌧️. How it works
Inside the stalks, spring-loaded sliders move across plated contacts. The cancel cam on the steering hub returns the indicator after a turn. The switch routes low-current signals to relays and control modules, which then power lamps and wiper motors 💡. Quality internals reduce arcing and wear for long service life.
What happens if it fails
Common faults include no self-cancel, dead indicators, flickering headlights, inoperative wipers/washer, blown fuses, or a stalk that won’t latch. Driving with a bad switch risks loss of signals, poor night visibility, MOT/inspection failure, and electrical shorts ⚠️.
Install notes
