    Windshield Washer Reservoir Assembly

    This part is the main storage tank for washer fluid and the mounting base that supports steady fluid supply to the washer pump and jets. It is needed anytime you want clear vision in rain, dust, insects, or winter road film. A healthy reservoir keeps enough fluid on hand and prevents air from entering the system, so the spray stays strong and consistent.

    How It Works ⚙️

    Washer fluid is held inside the jar, then the pump draws it from the bottom outlet and pushes it through hoses to the windshield nozzles. The cap and molded neck help reduce spills, while the shaped body fits the vehicle’s mounting points to stop vibration and rubbing. Proper sealing also helps keep dirt out, protecting the pump and check valves.

    If It’s Cracked or Damaged

    A broken reservoir can leak fluid, causing weak or no spray, pump cavitation (air in the line), and frequent pump failure from running dry. You may notice wet spots in the engine bay, low-fluid warnings (if equipped), or a musty smell from washer fluid. Ignoring it reduces visibility and can make driving unsafe, especially at night or on salty roads.
