Windshield Wiper Linkage Assembly (OEM-Grade)
This wiper linkage is the hidden mechanical bridge between the wiper motor and the two wiper arms. It is needed to convert the motor’s spinning motion into a smooth left-to-right sweep that clears rain, mud, and road spray for safe driving ?️.
How It Works
Inside the cowl area, the linkage uses pivot points and connecting rods to synchronize both wipers. As the motor turns, the linkage guides each arm through the correct arc, keeping timing even and pressure consistent across the glass.
Symptoms of a Worn or Broken Linkage
If the joints loosen or the rods crack, you may notice one wiper moving slower, stopping mid-sweep, knocking noises, or both arms moving out of sync. In severe cases, the motor can run while the wipers don’t move at all ?, causing poor visibility and extra load that may overheat the motor.
