Hazard Warning Switch Assembly

This dashboard safety switch lets you instantly turn on the hazard flashers when you stop on the roadside, tow a load, or warn other drivers in low visibility. 🚧 It is a small part, but it plays a big role in keeping your vehicle legal and clearly visible in emergencies.

Why This Part Is Needed

The hazard system must work even when you react fast under stress. A firm, positive switch action ensures the flasher circuit receives a clean command without delay, helping all indicators blink together as a warning signal.

How It Works

When pressed, the internal contacts bridge the hazard circuit, sending power through the flasher relay to both left and right indicator lines at the same time. Press again to release the contacts and return the turn signals to normal operation.

What Happens If It Breaks

A worn or damaged switch can cause hazards not to turn on, stay stuck on, blink irregularly, or cut out when you hit bumps. ⚠️ That can reduce visibility, create inspection issues, and raise the risk of a rear-end collision during breakdowns.
