How It Works ⚙️
The unit is a flat cable wound in a spiral housing. When you rotate the steering wheel left or right, the cable rolls and unrolls smoothly, maintaining constant contact between the fixed column wiring and the rotating wheel. This design prevents wire fatigue and keeps resistance stable for safety circuits.
If the Part Fails ❗
A damaged spiral cable can trigger an airbag warning light, disable the horn, and cause steering button functions to stop working.
