Headlamp Light Control Computer Module (RH/LH)

This lighting control computer is the “brain” that manages your vehicle’s headlamp operation on both right and left sides. It’s needed to keep the headlights stable, correctly timed, and properly powered, especially on modern Toyota lighting systems where simple switches no longer carry the full load.

How It Works

The module receives signals from the stalk switch, body ECU, and light sensors (if equipped). It then processes the request and commands the headlamp circuits with the correct voltage and timing. By controlling current electronically, it helps protect the wiring, improves lamp response, and supports functions like automatic lights, DRL behavior, and smooth high/low switching.

Signs the Module Is Failing

What Happens If Broken

⚠️ A faulty unit can cause one or both headlights to flicker, stay off, turn on randomly, or get stuck on high/low beam. You may also see warning lights, melted connectors from overload, or repeated bulb “burnouts” that are actually control issues. Driving with poor lighting reduces night visibility and can lead to inspection failure.
