Driver Steering Wheel Airbag Module ️

Keep your Hyundai Santa Fe’s safety at factory level. This steering wheel airbag module is the primary driver restraint for frontal impacts. It works with the SRS control unit to cushion the driver, reduce head/chest loads, and keep you centered behind the wheel. OEM‑grade fit ensures proper alignment, fast deployment, and long‑term reliability—critical for real‑world crash performance and inspection compliance.

How it works ⚙️

On a qualifying impact, sensors signal the SRS ECU. An igniter (squib) fires the inflator, filling the folded cushion in milliseconds. The cover splits along pre‑molded seams so the bag emerges cleanly. Power and diagnostics pass through the clockspring; at every key‑on the system checks resistance and continuity to confirm readiness.

Why replace

SRS light on, stored airbag fault codes, a cracked/warped cover, water or impact damage, or any prior deployment means the module must be replaced. A bad unit can fail to deploy, deploy late, or trigger warnings that may disable the entire SRS network.

Tech notes ‍

Disconnect the battery and wait 10–15 minutes before service. Handle with the pad facing up, avoid static, seat yellow connectors fully, and torque retainers to spec. After installation, clear codes and run an SRS health check for peace of mind.
