A/C Compressor Suction Hose – Reliable Refrigerant Feed Line ❄️

This suction hose is a key link in the air conditioning circuit. It is needed to carry low-pressure refrigerant vapor from the evaporator outlet back to the A/C compressor, helping the system cool the cabin smoothly and consistently. A good hose also supports stable compressor operation by preventing air intrusion and keeping the refrigerant flow steady.

How It Works ?

When the A/C runs, refrigerant absorbs heat inside the cabin and leaves the evaporator as a cool vapor. The suction hose guides that vapor to the compressor inlet. Its reinforced rubber construction and crimped fittings are designed to resist vibration, heat, and vacuum/low-pressure conditions while maintaining an airtight seal.

Why Replacing a Worn Hose Matters

If the hose cracks, goes soft, or leaks at the fittings, refrigerant escapes and the system may pull in moisture. Cooling becomes weak, the compressor may cycle rapidly, and oil loss can speed up internal wear.

Symptoms of Failure ⚠️

  • Warm air from vents
  • Hissing near the engine bay
  • Oily residue around hose joints
  • Compressor noise or frequent cycling
