This air conditioning expansion control valve is a key metering part in the HVAC circuit. It is needed to regulate how much refrigerant enters the evaporator so the cabin cools fast and stays stable in hot traffic. Without correct flow control, the A/C can’t balance pressure and temperature properly.
How It Works ?
The valve creates a controlled restriction between the high-pressure liquid line and the low-pressure evaporator inlet. By precisely reducing pressure, it turns liquid refrigerant into a low-pressure mix that can absorb heat inside the evaporator core. It reacts to load changes (engine speed, ambient heat, blower demand) to prevent evaporator icing and keep vent temperature consistent.
