Evaporator Outlet Temperature Sensor for Mitsubishi A/C ❄️

This compact HVAC thermistor tracks the air temperature right at the evaporator outlet. It keeps the cabin cool and stable, protects the evaporator from icing, and helps your Mitsubishi’s climate control deliver efficient, quiet performance.

Why you need it

Consistent vent temperature means comfort on every drive. The sensor prevents freeze-up that can block airflow and strain the compressor, while reducing fuel use by avoiding unnecessary compressor cycling.

How it works

It’s an NTC resistor that changes electrical resistance with temperature. The A/C control module reads this signal and modulates the compressor clutch and blower. When the core nears freezing, the module pauses the compressor, then resumes once safe .

What happens if it’s bad

Weak or no cooling, random hot-cold swings, short cycling or constant running, iced evaporator with water drips and foggy vents, A/C fault codes, and higher fuel consumption.

Install notes

Located at the evaporator case outlet. Direct plug-in replacement. Inspect the connector, seals, and cabin filter during service for best results.
