OEM A/C evaporator core for Mitsubishi SUVs — restore crisp cabin cooling ❄️
This high-efficiency HVAC evaporator is the heart of your air‑conditioning system. It absorbs heat from cabin air so you get fast, even cooling on hot days. Built to factory dimensions, it drops into the housing without modification and seals tight to prevent condensate leaks or air bypass.
Why you need it
Over time, cores clog with dust, road salt, and oil residue, lowering heat exchange. Corrosion can also perforate the tubes, bleeding refrigerant. Replacing the evaporator restores low vent temps, reduces compressor load, and brings back quiet, stable A/C performance.
How it works ⚙️
Liquid refrigerant expands in the finned core, boiling at low pressure. As the blower pushes cabin air across the fins, heat transfers into the refrigerant, which returns to the compressor as vapor. The result: dry, cold air through the vents with proper TXV/orifice control.
If it’s damaged or blocked ⚠️
Expect weak cooling, foggy windows, sweet or chemical odor, hissing, oil traces at the case drain, and ice-up. Prolonged operation can overwork the compressor, trigger high/low pressure faults, and raise fuel use.
Tech tips ️
Always replace receiver/drier, renew O‑rings, vacuum to 500 microns, and weigh the correct charge (R‑134a/R‑1234yf per label). Verify blend door and cabin filter to protect the new core.
