EVAP Fuel Vapor Reservoir Assembly ⛽♻️

This compact reservoir is a key part of the EVAP system that keeps fuel vapors inside the car’s sealed network, not in the air. Built to OE form, it sits near the filler area, storing vapor and shielding the canister from liquid fuel. Result: cleaner emissions, steady tank pressure, and smooth refueling.

Why you need it

It cuts fuel smell, saves vapor losses, keeps the tank breathing correctly, and helps pass emissions tests. It also protects the charcoal canister from saturation, extending system life.

How it works

When fuel warms or sloshes, vapor moves through hoses into this reservoir. Internal baffles and a rollover valve separate liquid from vapor. Vapor then routes to the charcoal canister and later to the engine via purge control commanded by the ECU. In sharp turns or a rollover, the valve blocks liquid escape for safety.

When it fails ⚠️

  • Check Engine light (EVAP leak codes P0440–P0456)
  • Fuel odor around rear of car
  • Hard-to-fill tank or pump clicking off
  • Hissing when opening cap, poor economy, failed inspection

Tip : Inspect hoses and clamps, replace brittle lines, and smoke-test the EVAP after install.
